Welcome to Peacock Cabins

If you need accommodations in Gatesville while attending a wedding at Peacock River Ranch, or you are looking for a romantic place to stay in our Central Texas town, please consider our property.  Our quaint cabins adjoin the forty-eight acre Peacock River Ranch property. We have one and two bedroom cabins, each named for one of the registered longhorns living and grazing at the ranch.  Yes, we have peacocks too; Bonnie and Clyde, Al Capone and Billy the Kid.

Conveniently located in Gatesville, you will be surrounded by some of the most popular cities and close to the famous Texas Hill Country.  Waco, Temple, Killeen, Salado, Copperas Cove, Lampasas, Fort Hood and McGregor are all within a short drive of our accommodations.

If you are wishing for a Girls’ Weekend Away, a Romantic Getaway or a fast paced experience around Central Texas, check out our rentals.  Our property borders the Leon River, and we have an enticing swing collection in the trees, which is perfect for a relaxing picnic.  You can catch a catfish or birdwatch by the river.

We believe you will find that our cabins have found the perfect place between price and comfort, leaving you with a perfect place to stay while visiting our town, while also keeping the peace of mind that you find the best deal possible. While in Gatesville, you will find yourself never wanting to leave, we have such a lovely atmosphere, treat yourself to some wonderful food and catch a movie or two at one of the last drive-in theatres around.

Our cabins will sleep from one to six guests, making our properties perfect for a weekend getaway or perhaps an extended stay in Gatesville. All cabins have been freshly refurbished in 2014 or newly built in 2015 or 2017.  Our cottages are filled with re-purposed materials we have collected from farms, ranches and historical buildings in the Central Texas area over a period of years. Explore our accommodations page to find which is best for you, then book your cabin on our reservation page.  Thank you for inquiring.
